Last Broadcast
An experimental narrative game set at a radio station
at the end of the world
My roles for this game: Co-Producer
Last Broadcast is an experimental narrative game set at a radio station at the end of the world. Players assume the role of D-Jay, a radio host, who is giving their last show as the sun turns red and the world burns down. As they attempt to find true connection at the end of the world, they may either experience deep emotional catharsis or a disastrous final conversation.
Last Broadcast is an MFA Thesis Project that I co-produced for. During the entire school year, I supported my director's creative vision of creating an experimental branching narrative that explores the idea "What is a meaningful choice?" especially in a world that's seemingly about to end. In contrast with many apocalyptic settings, this game was meant to invoke feelings of retrospection and reflection. Overall the game was a success, with 600+ unique users playing the game with positive reviews on Steam.
My Contributions
Facilitated 21-person team in remote meetings of varying disciplines including narrative, audio, and design
Managed 2-week sprints by tracking task statuses and dependencies via Trello Boards
Developed a successful V.O. recording pipeline, directing 7 voice talents that recorded 1300+ lines altogether
Mitigated risk of high-scope branching narrative by story mapping sequences and different interactions in the game
Facilitated team rituals such as lead meetings, standups, sprint reviews, and sprint planning
Assigning tasks using Trello boards and managing backlog tasks using Google Sheets
